Lançamento do Celeiro
É com grande alegria que abrimos o Celeiro, um programa de residência artística no Parque Natural da Arrábida, no sul de Portugal.Celeiro é uma plataforma aberta para o diálogo entre a arte, o ambiente e a educação. Este espaço de residência, localizado numa quinta rodeada de olival e agrofloresta, é o antigo atelier de um artista. Fundado por Mariana Viegas, o Celeiro tem como objetivo investigar a interseção entre produção como prática artística e a sustentabilidade ambiental.O Celeiro acolhe duas residências por ano, convidando artistas a criar projetos que tenham como ponto de partida o contexto local, investigando as questões ambientais e envolvendo a comunidade local.Sara Rodrigues e Rodrigo B. Camacho do coletivo Landra são os artistas inaugurais do Celeiro. Dia 6 de maio, na Casa da Avenida em Setúbal, iremos inaugurar a sua exposição.

A nossa equipa é composta pelas curadoras Vanessa Badagliacca e Tori Pelz que acompanharão a programação e Margarida Brito Alves da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, diretora do Instituto de História da Arte. Announcing Celeiro Launch
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Celeiro, an artist residency program in the Arrábida Mountains of Southern Portugal.
Celeiro is an open platform for dialogue between art, environment and education. This residency space, located on a family farm with an olive grove and agroforest, is the former studio of a Portuguese artist. Founded by artist and caretaker of the farm, Mariana Viegas, Celeiro aims to investigate the intersection between production, artistic practice, and environmental sustainability.
Celeiro hosts two residencies a year, inviting artists to create projects that draw upon the local context, explore environmental issues and engage the local community.
This spring, we are pleased to welcome Celeiro’s inaugural artists: Sara Rodrigues and Rodrigo B. Camacho of the collective, Landra. Stay tuned for announcements about related public programs and workshops! Their residency will culminate in a public exhibition at Casa da Avenida in Setúbal on May 6.
Our team includes curators Vanessa Badagliacca and Tori Pelz who will support the programming as well as Margarida Brito Alves from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, director of the Institute of Art History and curatorship students. This project is financed by the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, Direcção Geral das Artes - Ministério da Cultura.
